A dream come true: winning the contest

For Janice and John, winning the Beem Credit Union Fall Investment Contest was more than just a stroke of luck—it was a dream come true. Having recently downsized, the couple was eager to start planning their travels for the next few years. Their first destination? Portugal. "We love to travel and experience other places and cultures," they shared. "This contest has allowed us to feel confident with our trip planning and not worry so much about the financial side."

A trusted advisor: Pam's role in their financial journey

Janice and John have a long-standing relationship with their investment advisor, Pam. They appreciate her open and honest approach. "Pam actively listens to our needs and understands our comfort level," they explained.

"Sometimes we have crazy ideas, and Pam is able to laugh with us and remind us that it’s our money and we need to make ourselves happy. She shares her knowledge and explains things in a way that helps us make informed decisions and feel good about our choices."

When asked about the biggest difference between a bank and a credit union, Janice and John were quick to highlight the personal service and friendliness of the credit union staff. "We appreciate the personal service and friendliness of the credit union staff rather than feeling like you’re just another number with the big banks," they said. "We have felt warmly welcomed by Beem Credit Union and love that they are local and give back to the community."

Janice and John are enthusiastic advocates for Beem Credit Union.

"Don’t wait! We have had the most positive experience moving to Beem Credit Union. The staff has been friendly, helpful, and kind. When we walk into a branch, we are greeted immediately by a friendly face with a big smile. Beem takes care of its people and the community, these are important values we hold and are glad to be part of such a great credit union. Reflecting on their win, Janice and John expressed their gratitude and surprise. "We are so grateful and surprised to be the winners of this contest. We never win anything, and what a bonus to not only get to continue working with Pam but to be rewarded with this win!" they exclaimed. "We want to thank everyone involved in setting up the contest and everyone who has made it so easy for us to move over to Beem."
